US Embassy Riga Clubs Blacklist
(Update April 2010!!! The old days of the police not helping in Riga are gone. Now if you have any problem you can call the tourism police at +371 67181818 and you can be certain that they will assist you. See this post for more details!)
If you have read our post about the various Riga Strip Club scams then you already know to stay out of most of the stripclubs in Riga. Now the US embassy has come out with a blacklist of the clubs which have robbed American tourists in Riga. It is good to use as a guide although the list is not comprehensive.

Here is the current list as of July 6, 2011:
Angels - Elizabetes 22, Riga
Babylon (formerly Roxy Klub) – Kalku 24, Riga; located near the entrance to Old Town on Kalku street.
Livu Krodzins Bar/Pizzeria (formerly Lord’s Pub, Groks Pub, and Royal Pub) - Kalku 22, Riga; located next door to Babylon (formerly Roxy Klub).
Baltic Saloon (formerly Red Lion Pub and Saxon) – Laipu 7, Riga; located near Livu Square in a small street to the right of restaurant Steiku Haoss.
Infinity Bars (formerly Bar Fly) – Vagnera 8, Riga; located near Livu Square in a small street to the right of Babylon (formerly Roxy), Royal (formerly Lord’s and Groks) and Enigma (formerly Puzzle and Pink Panther).
A13 (formally Club Mary) – Audeju 13, Riga; located on the east side of Galleria Center Mall in Old Town.
Enigma (formerly Puzzle and Pink Panther) – Kalku 22, Riga; located next door to Royal (formerly Lord’s Pub and Groks Pub).
Golden Dolls (formerly Kapsula Bar and Zephyr Bar) – Audeju, Riga; located near Galleria Center in Old Town.
Blow Style (formerly Monroe’s Nightclub) – Skarnu 7, Riga; located behind Indian Raja.
Sonali Pub - Brivibas 46
We have also had numerous bad reports about the following:
Caprice (formerly Cognac bar) - 1/3 Baznicas, Riga Centre.
Flames - on Kalku in Old Town.
Blow (formerly Kleopatra) - Stabu 15, Riga Centre.
Brilliant - 9 Blaumana, Riga Centre.
Extreme - 37 K. Valdermara, Riga Centre.
Royal Source - 14 Marstalu in Old Town.
Hostel Pub - 12 Teātra in Old Town.
Royal Gentleman’s Club - Brivibas 46, Riga Centre.
Eden Club & Salon - Katoļuiela 9, Riga Centre.
As we have stated in previous warnings if you go into any of these clubs you will likely be robbed. We have had reports of people losing as much as 5,000 EUR!!! If you are not sure about a club do not go in!

the club is called ” Red Lion ” , again it is RED LION , it is in old Riga
Please don’t go to it or to any other clubs, you will be stolen 100% .

wow I got taken at Babylon
kind of cute girls and of course order 25 LAT cocktails
after two rounds I got out and slipped out the fromt door
but people on the street told me after that it could have been much worse

Had a very nice experience on bikini.lv. Nice and young girls, ok price, ok rooms. Gave the girl an extra tip for job well done! Lilami was also ok. Ladyland was bad. Girls seemed uninterested in the job. Stay clear!

Don’t go to Tripoli, on Elizabetes street it is a place where girls invite guys to rip them off. My friend got scammed despite my warnings and had to pay about 120 Lats on cocktails for girls, after he got beaten on the floor by one of the mafia’s gorrillas.
Dont go either to the Essential Club, the bouncer tried to make us pay twice the entrance (his trick was really really stupid…) and then was not far from punching me. At the end we could enter, and my friend was then invited to go to Tripoli bar…

Been to Caprice, place was clean, girl exceptional beautiful and was not robbed, so think the blacklist is a mistake. Agree, bikini has the best facilities. Ladyland is somewhat dodgy, still everywhere in riga had just good experiences.
